About Me

Here's a little information about me.

I was hired by LKDSB in 2005, right out of university. Before coming to Bridgeview in 2008, I was a supply teacher for a year, having taught Grade 8 at Colonel Cameron in Corunna and then Grade 7/8 at Cathcart Blvd. At Bridgeview, I taught Grade 7/8 for four years before making the change to Grade 3/4. This will be my sixth year teaching Grade 3/4.

I have added to my teaching qualifications by taking additional courses in the subject areas of Special Education, Reading and Computer Technology.

I am married.  My wife is also an educator, she's a Vice-Principal at P.E. McGibbon Public School.  We are also parents, we have a son named Callum, he was born in March 2016.

When I'm not at work, I enjoy watching and playing soccer, running, travelling, reading about current events and spending time with my family.

I've lived in Sarnia all my life (other than my years at University). I attended Cathcart Blvd. for elementary school and for secondary, I went to Northern. After NCIVS, I went to Western University for four years, where I graduated with a double degree in Geography and History. For my teaching qualifications, I went Lakehead University in Thunder Bay.

At Bridgeview, I have coached both Boys' and Girls' senior soccer teams, convened the B division tournaments, coached Track & Field and have been the Health & Safety Representative, amongst other things. Currently, I am the school's techie or System Administrator.  That's a fancy title for the guy who problem solves when technology isn't working. Also, I am our school's Math Lead.
